Connecting to a Discord server
This quick start guide follows Discords official documentation, which can be found here: Discord help page
Open Discord
You can use the Discord website, desktop app or mobile app
Enable developer mode in Discord
In order to find the server ID in Discord, you first need to turn on developer mode. Once you find the server ID, you can turn this off again if you prefer.
Open Discord settings
Desktop / web: tap the cogwheel in the bottom left corner of the desktop app
Mobile: by Tap on your avatar in the bottom-right corner and then tap the cogwheel in the top-right corner
Find and press Advanced under the settings
Tap on the toggle next to Developer Mode to enable
Find sever ID number in Discord
Once developer mode is enabled in Discord, you can find the server ID for any server you have joined.
Navigate to the server where you want to add the Candor Discord bot
You must have the appropriate Manage Server permissions for any server where you want to add the Candor Discord bot
Get the server ID
Desktop / web: right click on the server icon, and then tap on Copy Server ID
Mobile: tap on the ellipses (…) next to the server name, and then scroll all the way down and tap on Copy Server ID
Connect the Candor Bot
Now to add the Candor Bot to your Discord server.
On the Add source page of your Candor dashboard, find the Discord card and press the Connect source button
Paste the server ID into the Candor pop-up window and press Connect
Next, tap the link that appears to Add Candor Bot to Discord server
A new tab from Discord will open and you can follow the steps to add Candor Bot to your Discord server
Once Candor Bot appears in your Discord server, return to the Candor tab and press Confirm in the pop-up window
